Job Description:

The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at The Seeker, a unique hotel property. As the head of our kitchen, you will work closely with our culinary team to develop and implement innovative menus that showcase the best of our region's cuisine. Your responsibilities will include managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that reflect the brand ethos of The Seeker.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and receiving.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
  • Manage staff performance, including feedback and reviews.
  • Manage hiring and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Schedule staff to meet labor budget targets.
  • Maintain health and safety standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement recipes and training programs for staff.
  • Participate in service and work every station in the kitchen.
  • Contribute to menu modifications, product research, and best practices enhancement.Ideal Candidate
    • 5+ years of culinary experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
    • Proven leadership experience as a Sous Chef or similar role.
    • Extensive knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
    • Ability to motivate and lead a team.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.Physical RequirementsThe employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
