finesse and distinction.RequirementsAs a Principal Engineer II, you
will own the technical and architectural direction of a portfolio
of products. You will drive large-scale, high-impact product and
program decisions, ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and
innovation across the enterprise. As a recognized technical leader,
you will shape enterprise-wide engineering standards, cross-team
system designs, and technical roadmaps while fostering
collaboration across teams and business units. This role demands a
deep expertise in software engineering, architecture design, and
optimization, with a customer-centric approach to align products
with business objectives. You will mentor senior engineers, approve
engineering solutions, and influence best practices across the
organization.Key Responsibilities:
- Own and define the technical direction of a portfolio of
products, setting enterprise-wide architecture standards and
technical priorities.
- Lead cross-functional teams in system design, ensuring
scalability, reliability, and efficiency of software
platforms.
- Develop and optimize software applications, systems, and
solutions, leveraging expertise in at least one programming
language (Python, Java, C++, etc.), with strong familiarity in
additional languages.
- Shape the future of software engineering practices, driving
best-in-class coding methodologies, performance optimization, and
engineering culture.
- Serve as a technical expert and strategic advisor, representing
the client globally in engineering initiatives.
- Diagnose and resolve highly complex system issues, ensuring
seamless integration across platforms and business units.
- Champion innovation and process improvements, evaluating and
implementing emerging technologies to drive business impact.
- Mentor and guide senior engineers, approving architectural
decisions and ensuring technical excellence in deliverables.
- Influence enterprise technical decisions, collaborating with
senior leadership to align engineering roadmaps with business
objectives.
- Align engineering budgets with financial goals, optimizing
costs and driving profitability through strategic technical
investments.
- Lead technical conversations across teams, fostering
collaboration, consensus-building, and the removal of
blockers.
- Stay ahead of market dynamics and customer needs, ensuring
product relevance and competitive differentiation.Qualifications &
Skills:
- 10-14 years of experience in Software Engineering,
Architecture, or related domains.
- Expertise in at least one programming language (Python, Java,
C++, etc.), with strong knowledge of additional languages.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns,
and engineering best practices at the enterprise level.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale product or program
direction, influencing engineering roadmaps and
decision-making.
- Strong proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex software
system issues at scale.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and
modern DevOps practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess
technical risks and drive data-driven decisions.
- Outstanding leadership and mentoring abilities, guiding teams
across all levels of engineering.
- Proficiency in aligning engineering investments with business
goals, optimizing cost efficiency and maximizing financial
sustainability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills,
capable of representing the company at global technical
