Location:Fort Worth Urgent Care CenterDepartment:Child LifeShift:Second Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours:40Summary:The Urgent Care Center (UCC) Child Life Specialist is responsible for providing essential life experiences, family support & education to patients and families in the health care system. The Child Life Specialist collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience.Required Education/Qualifications :

• Bachelor's (or) Master's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a closely related field.
• Requires Completion of an internship in child life.
• Previous experience working as a Child Life Specialist preferred.
• Certified Child Life Specialist (or eligible) within one year of hire.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire.
