--Paragon is seeking an energetic and dynamic Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Engineer to join our team! The IV&V Engineer will perform project specific activities such as analysis, evaluation, and testing of system development lifecycle deliverables in conformance with verification and validation plans, procedures, and industry standards.--Responsibilities:--Responsible for performing project specific activities such as analysis, evaluation, and testing of system development lifecycle deliverables conforming to project specific plans, procedures, and standardsComplete assigned IV&V activities adhering to the overall project scheduleWorks with the design team, peer IV&V team, and Quality Assurance to ensure that the digital systems are developed, tested, deployed, maintained, and operated according to Paragon's Quality programDevelop test plans and perform testing activities within a Matlab/Simulink environment as well as in the lab with the physical hardwareDevelop and execute test cases and procedures to test implementation of system requirementsWrite, review, and update procedures, system records, and IV&V reports while following the Change Control Process and various quality proceduresThe position may be expected to travel up to 10% domestically or internationallyPerforms other duties as assigned--Requirements:--A minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other BS engineering/science degree is requiredMust be able to utilize basic electronics lab equipment to execute hardware testingHardware and/or software I&C systems engineering experience in safety related I&C system or software design is desiredExperience in the design, development, and/or V&V of field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology desiredPrior experience performing independent verification & validation--in the nuclear industry is desiredExperience with system development processes in accordance with IEEE standards and NRC regulations desiredMust demonstrate understanding of working on safety critical software systems in a highly regulated industryFamiliarity with Matlab and Simulink is strongly desired------Why Paragon?At Paragon, our mission is to lower the carbon footprint through innovative nuclear programs that are safe, sustainable, and economical.
